Legislator Roundtable with ITU

At the end of March we were delighted to host our first legislator roundtable of 2023 with the Deputy Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication ITU, Tomas Lamanauskas.

A huge thanks to Tomas for fascinating presentations about ITU and their important work on AI and emerging technologies, and to legislators for contributing to a critical conversation around their role in facilitating international cooperation and better governance, at a time where public consciousness of emerging technologies is increasingly high.

We gained valuable insights from the discussion with legislators from 16 different countries, including the US, UK, Tanzania, the Gambia, Portugal, Botswana, Ghana, Ireland, and New Zealand.

We look forward to future cooperation with ITU as we seek to bring together global legislators to better understand the impact of emerging technologies and the approaches being taken in different countries.
