Darren Jones named in WiredUK list of innovators

Institute of AI Chair, Darren Jones has today been named by Wired UK as one of “32 innovators who are building a better future”, with nominations taken from leaders around the world.

Selected by Kay Firth-Butterfield, head of AI and Machine Learning at the World Economic Forum, Darren has been recognised for helping to close the gap between technology and government policy.

Kay Firth-Butterfield wrote that “as chair of the Institute of AI, Darren has created a vital resource for legislators around the world to learn about AI, exchange best practices on regulation and work together to shape global standards. Many players in the AI policy space are making more noise than Darren, but few are making as much impact.”

The Institute of AI is excited to continue working with parliamentarians to collaborate on AI and emerging technology in the coming year.
